I disagree. The Bronco will end up being a huge seller for Ford and one of the few highlights of their product line outside the F Series, Explorer, and Expedition. Ford ran with a lineup too long that was fresh in 2013, but looks very aged in 2019. They know this and are rolling out products but I feel it is way behind the curve. They should have updated and rolled these products out sooner. The Bronco should have been developed earlier and should have been a 2019/2020 model at the latest to really capitalize on the low fuel prices that are creeping back up. I do like their commitment to uses of carbon fiber and Aluminum and expand it and create new processes like they did with Alcoa in cutting down Aluminum production to a quarter of the time it usually took. Ford just really needs some true leadership right now. These half assed CEOs they put in charge and the guys that get in under them to lead the divisions end up doing far more damage that takes years to unravel vs if they had just turned it over to another talented and proven CEO after Alan Mulally moved on. I have no idea how that process works but is it really that hard to find and hire a CEO that has a proven track record of success? I know you have a lot of criteria to consider that they have to meet but I feel like they could find someone of a higher profile than Hackett at the moment.
