you feel a difference when you installed your custom tune?

im going to be buying a used x3 tuner for my cobra. i have basic bolt ons. cai, ported tb, 1/2 intake spacer, u/d pulleys, o/r x and a 3" catback. just wondering if i should be expection a decent gain. also, since im buying it used do i have to pay to get the custom tunes?

Most handhelds come with "canned" tunes. However, since our motors can add/remove timing on their own with the knock sensors, there's not a lot of power to be had on a relatively stock engine with a "canned" tune. You may see 5hp-10hp if you can consistently get 93 octane. That's about it. Same goes for custom tuning at that modification level. A good tuner might get better driveability out of your car, but likely won't get more power.

When I had similar mods I never felt a difference with my canned predator tunes. But it was nice to be able to fix my speedo after a gear swap (reason I bought it).
