xcal2 question

when you guys bought your xcal2 are they suppose to come with 3 extra "cutom" tunes (tunes specific to your mods) or did it come with just one basic tune for a stock cobra??? i thought i read somewhere they are suppose to come with three tunes for your specific mods....??

If you buy it from a tuner it can come with 2 different setups:

1. 3 custom tunes by the tuner him/herself
2. 3 customish tunes by SCT itself based on pretty safe numbers and hundreds of hours of work.

Obviously the price will be different.

well, if you bought the Xcal2 SF it will come with three tunes. I am not sure, but I think the regular SCT xcal2 it will need to be tune by a dealer.

Yes. If you order it from SCT you'll get 3 tunes generically made for your car.

If you order from a dealer you'll be able to get 3 tunes custom for your car.

Either way you're better off going to a tuner and getting them done IMO.

ya i kno but i only have a few mods and my xcal2 sf didnt come with any custom tunes so im going to try to get them to send me some

it does but i guess it is just a basic tune thats for a stock mustang 4.6 4v....and my car has a jlt cai and 3 inch catted x and catback....

Yeah. The only way to get a custom tune for your car is from a Tuner.

Like VMP, Lamotta and such.

SCT really isn't a custom tuner.

I bought the SCT Xcal 2 SF also, but i havent gotten a chance to use it yet. Just sitting there. But like hissman said, the SF comes with 3 preloaded tunes.

9400 is a blank unit for dealers. 9415 is the strategy flashers that you buy if you buy it off the site.

i dont have a reciept as my aunt bought me it as a girft but it is a 9415a sf....
