x-pipe/emissions question

i dont have smog here, they just see if the car is throwing any codes

if i get a catted x-pipe, looking at the slp catted one, will i be okay??

You'll be fine. The only reason you would throw a code is if you were running an o/r X without mil eliminators or a programmer to turn off the rear 02 sensors.

Do they have visual safety inspections? If they do, no cats could get flagged there. It's that way in MO, on the emissions they just plug into the OBDII and check for codes so you could run dumps if you don't throw any codes. The problem is you're also required to have a visual safety inspection which is where they pick up all the little stuff like no cats, no PCV, breathers, etc.

FWIW, I have the SLP catted x-pipe and I ordered the "test pipes" for this very reason.

yeah but just make sure they dont do a visual check. You could also fail the emissions test because of having no cats of course.

My experience w/ MILs is they are hit/miss. I had them and still threw a code. The best bet is to have the rear O2 sensors turned off via tune, then it won't matter how you run your exhaust.
