I was thinking 5k picked up with tires but based on what you guys are saying, I may be way undervalued.

Just do your homework before you establish a price. I don't know the market well enough (or the condition of your wheels) to provide any sort of number, but the recent asking prices I've seen lead me to believe you should spend some time getting smart on the market.

Even for plasmas? The last silver sets I’ve seen have been $5,500 to $7,500 (asking price). I don’t know what they actually sell for. I assume plasmas are far more desirable, if in excellent condition. If the coating needs repair, I assume it would be an issue to match /repair.
No I was talking about painted style not the plasmas might have missed that in the comments.

It’s absolutely insanity for a set of cast wheels. They are cool, nostalgic but let’s be real. You’re in to high end forged 3 piece wheels for that price.

I agree fully agree, but at some point the value comes from the rarity of the product. Think of a set of original Halibrand magnesium knockoffs that originally came on an AC Cobra. These were cast but undoubtedly very expensive now.

I've seen these $5K plasmas every so often. No one ever buys them but it doesn't stop these sellers from trying to hit a home run. I remember buying a set on clearance from Tire Rack back in 2004 for $98 a wheel.

There is only one way for a seller to find out what they’re worth- post them up and see what they sell for. I also remember them on clearance at tire rack… I narrowed my choices down to the BBS RK Plasma and Weld Pro Star XP. I went with the Welds.

Anyhow, I still kick myself for not buying a 69 Firebird Trans Am for sale locally for $3,500 back in the 90s. At the time I was in high school and that was a lot of money. Needless to say that is one of my biggest regrets when it comes to my car hobby :-(

My big miss was being offered a GNX new back in 1987 from the dealer I bought my 86 Grand National from and running because it was $25k.
