If you have the means to fix it then yes if the price is right.
We can rebuild it.... We have the technology
Wtf kind of question is that?! It’s a Ford GT, it’s worth saving period.
Pick your poison.
82K so far and reserve not met. No thanks....
It will cost another 82K to fix that at least, you wouldn't even get your money back if you sold it.
Well there you go for anyone interested! I don’t know about Ford GT’s other than this generation is well loved. Thought some of you here may be interested in such a project.
Minimum bid 82k , should still be a good by.
I bet the bid gets close to 150k
What's the cost of gt40 kit car? This seems like it would be a good drive train/interior donor maybe.
Damn. Sad to see. Pretty Low mileage too
It’s worth saving. Just not by me.
If I owned or was still working at a body shop, absolutely yes. For a shop that is a time consuming but easy fix now days. As long as the frame rails bolt to the tub and can be replaced like I'm thinking then it would be fairly easy.
Somebody with some spare change should snatch it!
Until you realize you can’t get any parts for them and have to custom make everything.
that’s what I was thinking too. Are parts available for this car still?
Not that I’m aware. I know that back in 2008 a guy I know smacked the clamshell on his yellow one and it was a total loss. It being 12 years later I’m sure it’s even worse.
Ford has actually done a good job keeping parts available. But, parts are expensive, and that also fuels the wrecked auction price (value of it parted out). With the car being worth likely in the upper $100's, there is room in there for a good quality fix. MANY GT's have found their way back onto the road, even after being "totaled".
Gas monkey rebuilt one that was wrecked. I would rebuild this one if I could. Shit if I had the money I would buy it and leave it wrecked until I could fix it. I love those cars.

That is a parts car, the hole front pass. corner is junk. If you watch the video I wonder why the gauges don't work.
Now what will happen is some hack YouTube channel will get a hold of it get a million hits and sell it to some pour sap who does not know any better...
Nothing you can't fix with some square tube, Styrofoam and a little Bondo.
