Construction company here. 15 office and about 30 field guys. We were shut down with the initial order back in March even though a day or so later it was revised for construction to be deemed "essential". We closed our office for about two weeks, ran things remote. Owner hated it as he's an old school paper guy. At about the two week mark we started trickling back in. My wife then thought she had it, so we "self quarantined" at that point. Got the runaround for about a week and a half through various phone and video chats with nurses. Finally talked to her Dr who laughed and was like "yeah, you don't have covid, nobody we are seeing does". Mid April at this point, and I had enough of stay-at-home working, and have been going into the office full time since. **** the shutdowns. Those that have family thats vulnerable need to handle their own engagement with society. The rest of us shouldnt be held back due to a virus with a ****ing 99.945% survival rate, with that 0.055% being mostly elderly and those with moderate underlying symptoms. Sick of this black plague level response for a ****ing respiratory cold, of which wouldve been shrugged off as "just another bug going around" any other year.
