Woodburn Dragstrip Rental (Woodburn, Oregon) on Friday, 10/01/10

Hey "Western" SVT owners,

PNW resident and former 2001 Lightning and 2003 Cobra owner looking to get some local cars together for a little drag racing.

A few C63 AMG owners and a lone E60 M5 owner from Seattle/Portland are going to rent Woodburn Dragstrip on Friday, 10/01/10 from 10am to 4pm. I was wondering if any of the WA/OR SVTs (or other local cars) would like to join in. We've got 6-7 cars now and have room for some more cars. I've also invited some of the GM and Dodge guys to attend as well.

I've already paid the deposit and the cost per car will end up somewhere between $100-165 depending on how many cars attend. The more that participate, the cheaper per car it becomes.

We'll have both lanes (Heads-up Racing!) fully prepped with VHT and the rental includes Timing/Timeslips, EMT and as many runs as you can make with ample opportunity for cool-down, tweaking, etc. (All NHRA rules apply.)

Hey Wayne is there any way that you can get this later in the month? I know that some of us want to get out to the track and we kind of want to wait for cooler weather. I would be intrested and i know of maybe 4 more people but that would have to be like the 3rd weekend of the next month. Keep us posted.

Sorry, we've already got the date/time locked down. Most of us are coming down from Seattle so we'd tried to find a cool day with very liitle chance for rain. Looks like the high will be in the mid-60's on the 1st with no rain in sight!

The entire rental is $1650. ($165/car @ 10-cars.)

I'm going to be paying the difference out of my own pocket to keep the cost @ $165/car for all the other cars in the event we don't reach 10-cars. If we can get a few more cars involved the per car price starts to come down and everyone benefits.

You guys missed out on a great time. The C63s had the track all to themselves. Over 150 runs between the six cars.

I need to go to woodburn!!! My grandparents live there and my buddy just ran his best time ever down there!! 10.7 @132!! He could only get 11.1 @ 126 up here!!
