Are you saying the 3.5TT has special parts over a regular 5.4, inferring that the Lightning's engine was simply a boosted regular 5.4?</p><p>Or are you saying that the Lightning had special engine internals over a regular 5.4?</p><p></p><p>What is the fail point of a 5.4 Lightning engine and a 3.5 engine can vary drastically. I blew up my Lightning engine making 454rw-499 on a mustang dyno.</p><p>Some guys grenaded their engine with a 6 lower and cooler weather.</p><p></p><p>I've seen some blown 3.5L (non H.O.) fail with tunes around the same HP as mine.</p><p></p><p>Mine blew up cause the hi-lo fuel pump relay failed on the track. Maybe it could of taken more boost/nitrous for more power, who knows.</p><p></p><p>Talking about failure points have a lot of grey area, especially when dealing with varying tuners, weather and overall abuse and if the vehicle is purely a dyno queen or gets used.</p></blockquote><p></p>
