98 cobra dedicated road race car. Just had a new engine dynoed and was kind of disappointed. Stock displacement 4.6, with forged flat top pistons good for 11:1 comp. Stock C heads with 98 intake cams. Stock intake and throttle body. Long tube headers and a non catted x pipe.

The car dynoed at 316 hp. My last setup with B heads and an under drive march damper netted 300 hp. I'm assuming that the larger ATI damper is chewing up around 10 hp. I was hoping for at least 330 hp.

The dyno operator said he knows a guy that has tuned several 03-04 cobras and some turbo mustangs. I'm interested in deleting the emissions stuff and the IMRC parameters from the ECU. Will a performance tune net me at least 12-15 hp? Thanks

If you're not running IMRC's and haven't been tuned for it then you need a tune anyway. The car will run better at least that way. It's a new combo. I'm sure it could use some tweaks to get the most out of it.
