[QUOTE="amorrow, post: 9902473, member: 35869"] Any competent shop that does welding should be able to modify the tailpipes to your liking without issue. Outfits like SPD and Stainless Works sell tubing in any material you want, from mild steel to 321 stainless, and you can get transition pipes that will allow you to run a tip of whatever size to the diameter of your catback (most are 2.5"). And it's no big deal for them to slash-cut the tips at whatever angle you like. Additionally, if you want a chrome look have your tips resistant to rust and corrosion, use a buffer to polish 304-stainless tubing prior to giving them to the shop to be welded. Sometimes to get the look you want, custom fabricating what you want or starting off with a system and modifying it to your taste is the best bet (what I'd recommend to someone wanting a Borla cat-back who's not fond of the tips). FWIW, I wanted a 3" 304-stainless side-exit exhaust with x-pipe made for my '65, so I bought all the components, drew it out with bend locations and angles, and had a shop TIG weld it for me - relatively expensive, but worth it and it turned out great.
