Please allow me to clarify what happened and why Amsoil does business the way they do. In the beginning, Amsoil owner approached the big label retail stores for them to carry his product. All of them denied it because it wasn't from a big oil company label like Texaco, Chevron, Mobil, etc. The owner was forced to rely on a dealer network to get his product to consumers. This turned out to be a huge success. Now, the owner refuses to turn his back on the dealer network that made his brand a success. Knowing that, you will now understand why Amsoil isn't purchased by any corporation with more than 15 stores. This eliminates large corporate buying power that would make it impossible for the dealer network to compete. Calling it a pyramid scheme or any other code names suggesting fraud is ludicrous. I will use NOTHING else in anything I drive. To this day, I've yet to discover ONE lubricant formulation that can compete on the same level of performance. I'm not talking about wear alone, I'm talking about the entire field of test. TBN, NOACK, wear ppm, oxidation resistance, and change intervals. boom! Headshot!!
