I just got some used Weld RT-S 77 wheels for the rear of my 2013 GT500 and driving it makes a squeeking sound on the left side only. Size is 18x10.5. Any idea why this would happen? They were previously on my brother in laws 2014 GT500 and never made that sound. I made sure to triple check the lugs and am sure they are tight.

Did you remove the rotor retainer washers from the wheel studs?

Squeak of doom suuucckkksss (3 bent axles.. I got that t shirt).

I think Snoopy is spot on. Factory wheels have a relief cast/machined into each wheel to clearance those.

I think its a little absurd the factory NEEDS a retainer to keep the rotor on during assembly but hey, whatever floats their boat.

I know my 13 GT500s rear brakes were making a squeeking sound and it was just my rear rotors squeeking and I think my shims. I just machined my rear rotors and cleaned up my shim kit and the noise was gone.

Found out my axles are slightly bent. Can still drive on them.

Also the Weld Racing wheels aren't hub centric and causing them to move around while driving. Thank you guys for your help.
