Who do you think is the best one to use on a 99 Cobra?

Choices are ATI Procharger HO W/3 core intercooler
Vortech E-trim with either the aftercooler or without
Paxton NOVI 1000

Please say why you think so with real reasons and tech backing, not just Vortech becuse you think it is cool looking.

Thanks for any imput you may have.:-D

Of the three you listed I'd have to go with the Intercooled ATI. I like the fact that intercooling is now being used on blowers. It makes more power and it makes more consistent power.
The fact that the Novi 2000 is Paxtons best blower should be acknowledged though.
The E trim is not quite the best Vortech either. The T-trim would be the better street/strip unit. The S trim is a street minimum. The R trim is a race only model.

Vortechs site only listed the E-trim for the 99 cobra that I saw. Also I was told that the E-trim is just a reverse rotating T-trim.
Anyone know the truth to that?

It is just the V2 Super Quiet head unit. Based off an S trim. A T trim is much larger than an S trim, by one inch in outlet diameter.

way too much cash there. Looking to be able to feed myself. Last time i looked 6k is a little steep.

Last time I checked the Vortech kit for a 99 Cobra is about $4500 so it's not that big of a difference. Plus you would have a very rare setup, the only one I know of.

That is a good deal for the power you get. Who are you thinking about getting for the install?

If you're any good with a wrencj it is supposed to be a moderate job. Key phrase being supposed to be. It will take a weekend atleast I'm sure. The tune should be pretty generic with an accompanying chip.

Not having to replace the K-member is a good thing to people that don't want the hassle. The K-member swap is a good thing on even a daily driven street Stang that is naturlay aspirated. It improves suspension geometry for better handling and braking. Couple that to the fact that it removes weight from the nose of the car for better weight balance, which improves weight transfer and acceleration. Yes it is labor intensive. If you really want to get the most from your car though, it is a very economical mod in the long run.

PS Thanks for the good info Dyno! That was a very good link.
