The Sync monitors are nice but when it comes down to it if your rig needs it for optimization it works great, go overbuild and throw a no limit dollar amount you can push for super high FPS and high Hz range and not even tell the difference which is the route I took.
I actually don't run Free Sync and only Gsync on my side monitors I have SLI 1080ti's FTW WaterForces, 8700k delid, Maximus XI ROG Hero mobo ect in my new build but I am using 2 other monitors with Gsync that are 32's. The Alien I returned was a good monitor but for some reason it just didn't stand up to par. Then again I ended up with a bias opinion from knowing Linus irl and I went up to his shop around the same time he was testing the BenQ and he was even nutting over it off camera, its just a badass monitor.. but expensive. The Sync monitors are nice but when it comes down to it if your rig needs it for optimization it works great, go overbuild and throw a no limit dollar amount you can push for super high FPS and high Hz range and not even tell the difference which is the route I took. Both my 1080's were around $1500~ alone, each.
