They can all set dates, but until it actually happens it is a pipe dream.
You really believe that? The way everything is going... mandates, wars, the media

"They" will find a way to do it. At our expense

The impending eventual ban on semi trucks is already hurting drivers in CA

They’re just replacing one form of emissions with another. A good portion of the grid still runs on fossil fuels and a few extra Chinese solar panels isn’t going to offset this.
Need more Nuclear power.

60% of my state is Nuclear

Believe it or not, you can still be as conservative as anybody else out there, and still enjoy driving an EV as a daily

Why are you so mad? Damn bro I hate to be so easily offended that I'd feel the need to type all that out

Throws in "go dip some dillys"

Man, you got me so good

Soi bois like you are morons.

Why in the **** is the government installing 500,000 charging stations using MY MONEY?

Have you submitted your application to get a couple for your dilly dippers?

How many gas stations have been installed and subsidized by the government?

Soi Bois? Sure just keep the name calling coming. Shows a lot about you honestly.

Let me try to translate what the hell you're even on about.

There are zero Tesla chargers being installed by the Government.

Next. Continuing to make fun of my business. Check. You sound like a great guy

Great analogy. Another one that comes to mind are the new dual-clutch automatics (GT-500 and C8 Vette) vs. old school manuals. Even if the GT-500/C8 Vette dual-clutch autos are quicker and faster, there are still those who just want/must have a manual. The thrill of manually rowing gears is fun and the driver feels more connected to the car. EVs are dual-clutch autos. ICE is a 6-speed manual.

Thanks Bob.

The manuals will die first, they are already on life support as is sadly.

ICE will soon follow

Umm. I’m unsure what my comment makes it the worst. So because you live in a state where it snows that’s what makes it impossible I guess. Unsure what being able to afford 2 cars means. Sorry to bust your bubble bud. However I’ve got two 03 cobras, with a lot less miles than yours. Also have a 13 GT500 I drive as well. Not to mention my other vehicles. You used to daily drive a Focus ST.. calm down.

This is quite literally you. To feel the need to call names and make fun of my business all because I enjoy driving an EV?

You're a winner for sure

I was asking a true question, wasn’t even meant to come off some type of way. Yet you treated it as such. I was curious as to why you didn’t think it would be possible to drive one. Clearly snow was the factor.

For me its all about driving enjoyment. I really don't care what powers it.
If someone can create an EV that gives me as much fun as my manual ICE cars, I'd definitely consider it.
But for me, they aren't there yet.

Tough to decide who is being a prick or not. A lot of people in here who somehow feel the need to belittle a fellow Cobra member just because he daily drives an EV. So I May have replied a bit hot. A more adult answer is below.

Daily Driving in NH simply wouldn't work. It snows a lot, sometimes more than 12-18" per storm. I live in the Woods, roads not always plowed. Lots of frost heaves that would legit rip the catback off the car, if not fully rip the oil pan off.

Next, the insane amount of salt they use would rust our cars out even faster than they already are.

Only people in my state that would daily their Cobra are the ones who just can't afford a winter beater.

That is going to be difficult.

I wouldn't trade my Cobra for any EV. If I absolutely HAD to, it would be the Plaid so it could at least be as fast, or faster.

They do make really great dailys however. The benefits over ICE are numerous

Great exciting/involved drive? Not so much
