So I have the 3.4 non-crusher I'll be installing. I'm after the crusher inlet since I'll be running at least 25 pounds (looking for one if anyone has one for sale).

Anyway my question is do I need a different throttle body with the crusher inlet? Currently have an Accufab single blade throttle-body on my 2.3 VMP.

I don't really want to drop $2,100 through Lethal on their crusher kit. I've seen these crusher inlets go for $500-600 in the market place. Then I'm assuming I need to get a bigger throttle body & MAF housing. Anyone know where I could get the bigger MAF housing?

Seems like a huge headache to hunt all of these parts down and install the crusher. Is this a Gen 2 3.4L? Look at the serial number on top of the blower. "W2" gen 2 "W3" gen 3 etc...

If it is a gen 2...I would personally part ways with it and look for a used or new in box gen 3 3.4L Crusher and have all you need immediately and a way better rotor pack.

If you're dead set on going with a used crusher inlet and sourcing out parts elsewhere...maybe contact lethal performance. See if they can get the intake/tb/maf housing or even contact whipple directly...

Yeah I don't see any serials on it at all. It's probably pretty old

It would be up near the blower snout. On the bearing plate. It's a thin silver line that goes along the top of the casing. Nothing there?

That must be a much older unit! I would sell that, and go after a newer blower. You're talking about less power to drive, less stress on the crank snout and more efficient rotor packs. And dodging the headache of trying to Frankenstein your own crusher inlet upgrade.

A gen 4 2.9L Crusher would yield more power than the blower you currently have.

I would part ways with your 3.4L standard inlet. Look for either a gen 3 2.9 crusher or gen 4 2.9 crusher or gen 3 3.4 crusher.

These blowers will get you right at or over 950-1000 wheel with the right setup/fuel and compression ratio.

To answer your original question you need to figure out the CFMs you plan to run and then check against the CFM of the Air filter, MAF, Intake tube, and trottle body and see if they are enough. If it's the TB I am thinking of I personally think it is too small. That being said if your MAF or intake tube is too small then going bigger on the TB won't really matter.

    This.

Too bad you didn't get on one of those black friday whipple sales.....they were practically GIVING away those blowers including the badass 2.9 gen4!

to answer your original question the crusher air intake (plastic housing and air filter) arent going to do you much good on the regular 3.4. the throttle body is is only so big and the crusher intake system is meant to work with the crusher t/b and inlet. you cant get a bigger t/b for you standard inlet 3.4, the bolt patter is only so big.
the crusher air intake is much bigger than the accufab/billetflow t/b. you would need to use a reducer to connect the two which would defeat the purpose

I think he is talking about the inlet not intake. As I am typing this I answered my own question. The Accufab 110mm that you have on your TVS currently will not fit on the crusher inlet as 94slowbra1 said. You will need to upgrade TB.

As others have said the crusher throttle body is much bigger than the accufab. The tvs gt500 th is the same bolt pattern as the crusher TB and will work but it's a much smaller opening than the crusher. I know Malcolmv8 played with this because the idle on his crusher throttle body sucked.

The best deal going was the 3.4 crusher blow out sale lethal had, I think the blower/crusher setup was $2850.

You'd be better off selling that blower and going with something else.

Right on, think I'm selling it. Don't really wanna mess with it. What's a good price for the blower only? It's been rebuilt by Jon Bond and has a season of track passes on it after the rebuild
