Hello.. first time poster here at svtperformance.. just had a simple question.. my cobra has 66k miles on it.. and the previous owner never used sythetic oil before.. as of now he is using 10w40.. i was just wondering when the next oil change comes around if it would be safe and better for the engine to start using sythetic oil from here on out.... Thanks again..

Yes a synthetic would be better. However, using the proper weight would be the best advice I can give. The 10w40 is TOO HEAVY for your car. The factory calls for 5W30. 10W40 will rob some HP through parasitic drag. GET THAT MUD OUT. 5W30 Mobil1 is a good choice.

It should be fine...
I suggest the factory weight rating and going with that rating using Amsoil.
Mobil 1 seems to be pretty good, I do have that in a couple rides.
