Which oil to use?

1990 mustang with 99,000 miles. What is a good engine and transmission oil to use?

Redline, royal purple, or Mobil-1. 5w-30 in the engine. Same brands for the trans, and I believe the transmission takes D/M III. Manual or auto. Someone double check me on that though.

Yeah, pretty sure it's Dextron/Mercron III (Spelling). Since you change that less often, I'd go with Redline or Royal Purple there.

Autozone carries Coastal, which has a synthetic blend in the Mercon III grade. It is reasonably priced and I have used on in my trans, which I run on the road course, with no issues.
