which oil to use

Hey guys, I'm getting my car tuned in about a month, built motor 9.5-1 compression, hellion single precision 76, return fuel system etc. Now I've put about 1600 miles on the new motor with break in oil, and I'm going to change out the oil, to regular oil before it hits the dyno.

What does everybody use the stock motorcraft 5w20 or is there something else I should use? The car will be tuned on 94 + meth, 80%meth 20water

5W20 is too thin I use 5W30 Valvoline synthetic.

Thanks for the reply, so 5w20 is to thin, good to know I was just going to go with what was stock thanks for the info.

5W20 was done by Ford for emission/mpg reasons. Lots of guys in the deep south use 10W30 but a 5W or even the 0W30 Amsoil would be a good choice for you in Canada

I use 5w-30 Royal Purple HPS.

K so switch to a 30 weight

I use 10-30 Amsoil SS. Head to the greasy spoon section and you can learn alot
