We have a variety of hardworking idiots here and I'm just curious what time you all get rolling in the morning? Unfortunately I'm a morning person and am up at 4-4:30 and working (not sipping coffee, working) by 5-530 a.m. depending on the day. I **** myself on the weekends because I can't sleep past 5. And now at this time in my life (38 + Wife and 2 kids) I'm snoring by 10.

I was just curious about other people's routine...What say you?

Wife and I split morning daycare duties. On days she takes the kids, I'm up at 2 and at work by 3. On my daycare days up at 5, work by 7.

I normally am awake at the same time as you. I’ll watch the news and eat breakfast for thirty minutes.

Then go into my home office and do reports and email until 6:00, shower and then drive to my office or work location. Then I will work until I’m done or sometimes switch locations after 5:00 to my home office for evening work.

By 10:00 I’m generally out unless insomnia is visiting.

Up at 5, at work around 6-630.

Since having a kid(18 months now) going to the gym at 4 is tough. So, I just workout after work.

Last Job:
Up at 4am
In the office 5am to 6am depending on workload
Leave anywhere from 3pm to 5pm
Work from home until 8pm-11pm depending on workload
Did the 12-16hr day routine for 3 years straight and it nearly ruined me
Averaged 65-75hrs per week, topped out at 114hrs

New Job:
Up at 4am
If it's a Monday, drive for 80 minutes to be in the office at 6am
Work until 3:30pm, drive home for 2 hours since i85 is an absolute mess in the afternoons
Rest of the week, 7am-5pm from home since there are often late afternoon meetings. If I "clock out" early one afternoon, I make it up by starting early the next. Working from home is honor system. Even though I'm straight salaried, it'd bother the hell out of me if I didn't keep it even.
Averaging 45-50hrs a week

Up at 0430, turn on my kickass espresso machine, putz around picking up the house for about 30 minutes, then visit this forum for the funny and informative. Off to work at about 0700, 30 minute drive, then pretend to work until about 1500, then come home.
