I'm putting together a new engine. It's a fairly simple combination. 97 Teksid block, H beams, forged flat tops at .020" over, decked block and heads. Compression right at 11:1. Stock B heads and cams with intake cams advanced. IMRC delete.
So, I really haven't improved airflow much at all. I'm well aware with MAF tuning range vs flow. I do all my own tuning, so that's not the question. My question is, has anyone swapped to a 90mm MAF and actually improved HP? Just wandering if the stock MAF is at all a restriction. Lightning MAFs are cheap and the tune is free, so I'd swap it for 3 HP if I knew I would gain.
Thanks,
Rich
