Wheel adapters are mounted. I ended up swapping out my stock wheel studs with a harder material, I used the Moroso studs. Unfortunately I had to cut them down to fit with the adapters but here they are.

Bout' time. Looks good so far. You'll have to let me know how well those Mickey's work.

Yep, your tight in all the same spots as me. What I've really noticed is the tire on the wheel........it's very narrow in terms of any rubber past the edge of the rim. I don't think you could go any bigger (wider) without rubbing issues, unless you used a thicker spacer.

BTW, love the MM stuff underneath.

I know it feels really good to have that project completed. I still haven’t centered the rear end with my panhard bar so I have a little wiggle room but not much. I was fairly confident that I would be ok going to the 10" since I’m pretty much planning on running with just the M/T’s. As you can see the M/T’s are very narrow and have no bulge at all so I planned on having more space then the usual radial.

The M/T’s should hook perfectly but I’ll keep you posted. I was big on using Nitto’s with my SS and WS6 but once I passed the 450rwhp mark they didn’t seem to hold as well. The M/T’s seem to be a far better tire for higher HP ranges they just suck in the rain, which make me a little nervous.

Thanks for the MM props :coolman: Next I’ll be adding MM’s full length subs and a torque arm with stiffer springs. I shouldn’t have any traction issues left…I’ll just need to cross my fingers that my rear end and tranny hold up. :burnout:

Well, I think I can just about stick a fork in this project and call it done. I ended up ditching the 7/8” spacer/adapter for a 1-1/8” adapter. The shop that made my new spacer screwed up and made the studs to short so I’m getting those fixed but I wanted to throw up a few pictures to show you guys the final outcome. I believe i just about have my panhard bar adjusted correctly and should have the rearend pretty centered. Please excuse the mess in my driveway, I was doing some spring cleaning to the garage and yard that day.

*Custom widened factory cobra rims to 10” by weldcraft running MT ET Streets Rad. 275/40/17

Lemme know what you think.

Did you have the front widened too? That really looks good, I bet she won't give too much in a hard corner.

Thanks for the complement. Once my MM torque arm and full length subs are installed next week I’ll be ready to shred concrete.

You noticed my front wheels too huh, they’re the factory width but look as wide if not a little wider then my rears do – it drives me nuts! I think it has a lot to do with the tire selection, they’re nitto’s drag radials on the front. I originally purchased them for my rears before I decided to widen my rims. I couldn’t find a buyer so I figured I’d just toss them on my front and replace them when needed.

Thumbs up to Weldcraft, I am lucky enough to live a short drive from them. I have had them do 3 sets of wheels and they all came out like jewelry.

howdy,

I am following your lead and just sent up some rims to Weldcraft to be widened by 2". You mentioned a specific spacer (a billet hub and wheel centric design) and I wanted to know if you remember and can share the specs of the spacers you had made?

since i am going with a final width of 9.5" i expect to use the 7/8' spacer you used but want to confirm any of the other metrics you provided for the spacer manufacturing.

thanks..

They look great, but couldn't he same thing been accomplished with the repo 93 Cobra wheels? I k now they are 17/8 1/2, but they are a lot cheaper.

Holy wheel lip. That thing needs 295's! I've got 315 MT on my 10" SC's and will be going 295 next time.
