Wheel Question

Just picked up a new set of wheels for my 03 GT. Rears are smoked, and need replacement. Came off a 98 GT. What size tire should I buy? Currently has 245/45/18s and the fronts have 215/55/18s. Thank you in advance.

What are you mainly doing? That’ll depend on tire type and size.

Daily driver over the summer with my kids. Nothing crazy, no track racing or drag racing or anything like that.

Ok, so upon doing research, I think a 245/40 rear will work. Now my other concern, are the front tires too big, being a 55 sidewall? They have a lot of life, and I don't want to ditch them, but I don't want any issues either.
