You know, me 5+ years ago....I was worried 5W-20 wasn't sufficient. However, I was wrong. For instance, the Coyote 5.0 on 5W-20 Amsoil Signature Series, 10,000 mile oil change interval, and 30+ 1/8 mile track passes @ 7.5 seconds....

results were amazing! Nothing more was required for a bolt on basic Coyote.

I have one 5/30 Redline, and my new fiesta st recommends 5/20. I was just verifying that using the thick(I've been told RL 5/30 is thicker than normal) 5/30 RL won't be too much.

Thanks!

I'm running Pennzoil Ultra 5w30 in our Fiesta ST. It'll probably get changed, with a UOA, late next week after 5,000 miles.

I'm kinda bummed. There was a local dealer chain that used to supply all kinds of Redline through their internet store but it looks like they've dropped it. Luckily both Summit and Jegs carry the 5W40 for my Subaru and the 5W20 for the Cobra.
