Saleen is dead. If ford gave them a 05 GT to test it was a waste of time either way.
They were bailed out yet -again- like stang99svt has said, in fact steve saleen now owns 10-20% of the company from what I've heard due to the most recent bailout.
My uncle makes over 50 parts for Saleen (well he did till about 3 weeks ago) and had about 200,000 due to him in accounts receivable.
What did saleen do? They gave him their flagship beryllium S281 E (the first one ever built), SA 20 #3 and they -still- owe him enough to where he will get another car out of them. They should probably give him 2 more cause I know he'll have the damndest time selling them. Not only is Saleen insolvent and strapped for cash, they can't make a product that competes with cheaper off the lot vehicles.
The s7 killed them yet its probably the only reason they are still around at this point; they still have ~30 more orders to fill on it at whatever type of loss they are taking on it.
