Whats a 99 cobra vert weigh?

I though it weighed around 3600-3700 lbs but today a friend pointed out that on the driver side door sticker it says something like 4400lbs gross weight??? So what's the deal? :shrug:

You are correct sir, they weigh in the neighborhood of 35-3700lbs.

I knowthe gross weight cars are rated at have a whole bunch of other factors added in but I'm not exactly sure what all else the extra additions are -- I believe they are eseentially how heavy the car would be if fully loaded; if it isn't that it may be the max rated weight for the car/class of car?

My 99 GT vert weighed in at 3400 lbs with out spare and about 1/4 tank of gas, so I figure the Cobra is about 100 to 200 heavier.

GVW is the most it can safely weigh fully loaded

it also adds 4-180lbs passengers to the total weight so an extra~700lbs
