I get more hits in this section. Im ordering true forged mach 5 wheels. 18 inch wheels. I know you cant have it all and will be hard to hook any high car on the street. 18x10.5 wheel. you think a 305 40 18 will make the car sit too high in the back and set off the abs sensor? I can do a 305 35. I just figured I would have more sidewall with the 40.

Then I saw another pic on this site and I believe true forged made a 16 inch wheel for a customer. You think 18x9 and 16 inch mach 5 wheels ( if they make them) will look horrible? My car does make 650 rwtq and I am not stopping on making power.

someone on here has some CCWs 18 front/17 rear but the face is the same so they look the same.

See if they can do that.

I'm with you, looking at different wheel options as well. Tired of spinning everywhere.

Looks like were getting the same wheels! So your going with a 18x10.5 rear? I'm going 18x11's. If I was you, I'd try to stick with a 35 series. To me they just look the best. What rear tires are you using again? You might need to go with a tire that's more of a slick than an actual drag radial.

I personally prefer the 35 series. I run a front and rear 35 series, obviously they wont be the exact same 265 vs 305 but it gives it just enough rack to make it looks nice

yea im going with a 18x10.5. steve told me a 305 tire will look best on there. If I were to go with a 18x11 I would run a 315 tire, but then its going to be a 315 30. I dont want to run a 30 sidewall. Mickey thompson has a 305 35 tire so that was the one I was looking for. I had hoosier drag radials and I just dont feel comfortable with those on the street. They have a very soft sidewall. I sold them as soon as I got them in mail from lethal. wasn't comfortable

I have the R888's 305 and with a 10 inch rim the tires bulge a decent amount. I think with the R888's the 11 inch rim should look perfect. But some tires run bigger than others.

Here's the R888's 305/35/18x10's.

I just mounted 305/35/18 nt01 on my 18x11 TF Mach 5's. They look a little stretched on the 11 " wheel. I would think they would be perfect on a 10.5 wheel. I would stick with 35 series. Mine are over an inch taller then a 315/30 in the same tire. A 40 would be really tall in an 18".

mike im glad the install went smooth! cant wait to see your results. Im still doing the fuel system. problem is, I cant use my vp100 if I put the next pulley on. Too much boost/power for vp100. The e85, im not going to do. not sure what to do but the fuel system is still a go.

yea right now I have 315/35/17. If I go 18, it would be 315/30/18. Not my cup of tea. 305/35 will work nicely. just not sure how it will hook. I want to see peoples experience with a 275 40 17 and 305 35 and see which will hook better. Or would a 315 35 17 be just as good. I may do 17 inch mach 5's I dont know yet

If those nt01 run anything similar to the 555r, I'd think the 11 inch would be way to wide. The R888's were about 1 inch wider than the 555r. Same size 305/35/18

They run a little wider than the 555's. I have a new set of nt01 in 315/30 also but like the added height and sidewall of the 305's better. I'm worried about tire rub now. Wish I would've went with 10.5 wheels at this point.

My buddy has a fender roller, hoping I don't have to use it but I'm sure I will!

I ran the 305-35-18 mickey Thompson drag radial 2s on my car. But on a 10" wide rim. They bulged a little so im sure they would fit fine on a 10.5" wheel. my car made close to 700 hp and 679 tq and they hooked very well on the street. No complaints on that tire from me.

I was thinking. A 295/45/17 drag radial on a 17x10.5 wheel. Should be a 27.x inch tire. Will this set off the abs sensor and affect the gear ratio ? 3.73? One could get 17 inch mach 5's. I saw pics that Steve took and they looked sick.

I have 275/40/18s on a 18x9 and 18x9.5 wheels with a 305/35/18 NT 555R on a 18x10 and a 305/35/18 MT ET Street II on a 18x11 wheel. I will put 275/35/18s on the front next time, because the 40 series sidewall on the front is slightly taller than the 35 series rear sidewall. Not bad, but a 35 series on front would be perfect.

The Nitto NT555Rs run narrow, so their 305/35/18 works great on a 10" wide wheel and my MTs 305/35/18s fit perfect on the 18x11s. R888s in a 305 would fit perfect as well. Both of those tires run wider than Nittos. I would not put a 315/30/18 on my 18x11s (because the sidewall isn't enough for me), the 305/35/18 works and looks perfect. Sorry no photos, but I've seen the combo many times in photos on here.
