So what's the most reliable stiegemeier porting to go with? I'm on a budget and the stage 1 sounds really good. The Stage 4 is tempting but it's only 20 more hp for $250 which isn't bad but not worth it to me since I've got a newborn. I figure I will be going with either a smaller upper pulley or if it's easier to swap an 8lb lower pulley.

In addition I will need a retune in addition to all of this which does pose even more problems since I don't have tuner like I asked for when I bought it just the SCT box that has to be tuned by a guy I'm not certain I can find anymore :(

Look into having Posi do it. He has been getting some excellent numbers, and reviews on his ports, and he is cheaper than Steig. You also have the option with him to save an extra $50, if you send him just the case, which is super easy to take apart.

Yeah, the Stage III hasn't been available for several years.....Replaced by the Stage IV. And, I'd give my left big toe to get 20 RWHP for $250! Heck, At the point I'm at, I've been know to pay $450 for maybe 5 RWHP! The Stage V is another solid option, but and it's bang for the buck is probably not as impressive as the Stage IV.

I went with "The Master, Stiegemeier", .........it's your dollar & your car. I do not know about other company's, ............ but I know what I got for my money and I have no regrets.

Does Posi have a website? If so what is it? I don't mean to disregard Steig but I am on a tight budget with a 7 month old.

Is there an affordable way to retune my own SCT box since my tuner may not be available? My car is on a really safe tune so I'm halfway wondering if I couldn't get away without getting a retune.

I went with posi's race port. Just installed it on the car today and will have dyno numbers tuesday. Check my thread out in the terminator talk section, I will post results there. I don't think u can go wrong with either one, I chose posi mainly because his prices are a bit cheaper than stieg. His customer service is top notch as well and if you search you will find nothing but good reviews. Good luck

Stiegemeier Porting Guarantee's to outperform port to port to any person or company. Many have tried to save money by going with a "cheaper" port and has ended up having to send the unit to us to fix or they have to buy a used one. Stiegemeier has ported over 2700 units to date. We are an Authorized Eaton remanufacturer.
We have owned a Dyno Jet since 1996 so we can do in house testing, all welding, porting, tuning done in house.

When you send in your supercharger we ask that you enclose a note with your name, phone # and return address. Pack Well esp snout/pulley area. Take off All removable parts.
Once the blower, throttle body and plenum are in our shop We open the box and number ALL components we number the note and input in our computer files. This insures that Everyone gets back their same Blower. We call you that day go over job instructions with you and get any other info we need.

We fully disassemble your blower and front drive snout and evaluate it's condition. All bearings and seals are inspected, rotors are checked for flaking and tip scouring.
The blower case is ported achieving the CORRECT balance of Low pressure to High pressure. (Low pressure meaning the inlet side and High pressure the exit side)
Careful attention is paid to ALL areas to achieve the Highest Airflow rates and still Retain case rigidity ----Designs are constantly being tested and updated to assure you the Largest HP gains available-- GUARANTEED.

All Airflow test data recorded with a SF 600 SuperFlow Flow bench.
All Lightning Truck blowers have rotor to case rub. We at Stiegemeier Porting have developed a machining process that increases clearance in these areas between your rotors and case This is not an option just part of the Stiegemeier process to insure you the customer has No pre-mature failures. The rotors are profiled, blueprinted and timed to the case.
After porting All gasket surfaces are checked for flatness and machined if necessary.
The machined parts are put threw a 3 phase cleaning process the last being a high pressure 190 degree rotisserie wash. If the rotors are to be chemically stripped which we Highly Recommend for any rotors that are epoxy coated and being spun faster than the OEM setting. Rotor flaking leads to blower failure. Some rotors wear and some flake.
All superchargers are assembled with factory correct Full Synthetic grease and oil. All fasteners are torqued to spec after assembled All blower are spun at speed and checked with an amplified hearing system to insure you of a perfect assembly. All superchargers are cataloged, numbered and dated.
We take our shipping Seriously-We double box with, bubble wrap, protective shield for snout and packing peanuts.
We do stock all gaskets, pulleys and plugs ect. We supply you with tech tips, instructions READ THESE. We are available to answer any of your questions you might have. We have a very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
We have 1-3 day turnaround. Cores available. Front drive rebuild recommended.
I will always GUARANTEE more HP Per Dollar than any Competitor .

We are getting in a new shipment of 500+ RWHP club T-shirts for those of you who post up your graphs we will send you out one FREE. The shipment is due to arrive on the 18th of June.

We have testimonies and much more data and information on our web site about us also: Supercharger Q&A, Moderated by Dyno Bob

I bought my steggy stage 3 used with a ported t/b and plenum for 500 then sold my stock stuff for 300. Look around in the classified section. I bought my bap, MAFia, 60s and 4lb lower also from the classifieds. Even found my car on this site also

OP from an enthusiast stand point I'd get a used Stage 3 and have it serviced or service it yourself or go with a Stage 4 used or send yours in to Stiegemeier.

Good luck with your car.
