I have done a lot of research and it seems that everyone seems to be split 50/50 between the ngk tr6 and the ngk tr7

I want the iridium plugs so between these 2 what is the preferred plug and why is it a better option over the other?

My mods as of April will be:
Ported eaton blower and intake w 2.8 pulley
Return style fuel system
Borla stingers

In a couple of months after I save I'll add:
Bassini offroad xpipe
4lb lower pulley
Jlt intake

Looking to get over 500rwhp for the summer! *Looking to go viper hunting lol

Advice on what plugs to order please and thanks?

Like I said its a 50/50 split?

Why do people run the tr6 vs the tr7 and vice versa?

Is there more power benefit to running the coolest plug aka the 7?
Just looking for a little reasoning as to why one over the other?

No power difference. Basically, if your running more boost than you can go colder bud IMO your fine with either or.

Yeah I assumed either or I was just wondering if there is. Benefit?

I guess it's like fuel injectors, stock 39s are good for 500hp but 60s are good too. If not better!?

I'm thinking I'll order the 7s?

People run a colder plug IE the BR7EF which is the copper version of the TR7 for the reason that it has anti-detonation property's. I run the BR7EF at .032 However I'm planning on opening the gap a bit. Maybe .035

The objective is to have the coldest plug without fouling and the widest gap without blowout. But honestly, Either one is a good plug. I have no issues with the BR7EF. Its a little bit on the cold-er side but it is safe to run for a port and pullied car.

Guys, big difference between .032 and .32.

.032 would be accurate in what they are trying to tell you.

You are correct, just checked.. they are .035 - updated.

I'm thinking of opening mine up to that. I have mine at .032 I think they are a bit close to be honest. What do you think, Open them up and give them a shot or leave them as is?

Oh come on. Why can't I gap my plugs at more that 1/4"??

I run the NGK TR6 gapped at .030
Idle is smooth and no spark blowout issues at 20+lbs.
Plus if I foul a set running a lot of leaded gas they are only $2 each.

I'm running TR7IX's gapped at .028 but think about switching to the BR7EF as the iridums are tricking expensive to have to replace after you foul a set out.....

Why do people still run crap iridum? NGK 7985 all the way. Tested best plug and under $2.00 each. Also do not break like iridum all the time.

If you do the research copper is the better conductor and doesn't retain as much heat as iridium. Iridium plugs are great for long maintenance schedules. I don't care to have my plugs last 50,000 miles. I change my good ole copper plugs at every oil change.
