Hey all, I am contemplating next steps for my 2012 GT500. Will be running either VMP 2.3 or KB 2.8 w/ BAP, TB, full headers and exhaust, CAI. Targeting mid 650 WHP for the street. Will be tuned for 91 and may or may not run E85 at later date. Looking at ID1050s and DW 95lbs. Which should I run, any others to consider? Too much injector for my application?

Thanks

I’d wait for the VMP 2.65L TVS. From what is claimed it can handle; it can get at your targeted power level with no problems.

Thanks. ID 1050s or DW 95s. Which would you choose? ~$400 price dif between the two.

I used DW's and they work great and Danny will have no issue tuning them.

Cool, thanks. He did a hell of a job with the header/exhaust install and tune. Best in class, I cannot say enough good things about the work he has done thus far.

It’s personal preference. If your location has a healthy supply of E85 stations then go with that. You can make excellent power with it, but be aware your mileage will suffer. I personally wouldn’t run E85, due to I’ve seen what happens to E85 when it sits for long periods of time. And I don’t put a lot of miles on my Mustangs, hell my Roush only got around 130 miles last year. Doesn’t make it a bad option if I don’t like it, it’s just not for me.

Yeah on the 2.6 TVS. VMP made 1000 with that blower on an 18GT.
Almost 1,000. The classic throttle blip at the end of the run put it over 1,000 lol. Check the Dyno sheet for proof. However, I’m 100% sure it’s capable of doing it.

Niether! get the 1300's so u have room to grow with E85. Most ppl who run E85 and see the benefit want to make more eventually so just bite the bullet and go 1300's.

Most ppl's initial plan is to run XXX hp but as time goes on they want more. 1300's give u that option down the road.

I'll agree with this.

Thanks. Any issues running these with gas and 2.3 or 2.8?
I wish I could help you, but I don't have E85 around here.
I was simply agreeing with Brett about going big at once. One and done. Good luck man!

The ID1300's will idle fine with gas. My DW1500's idle fine with gas or E85. I had ID 1000's and they idles fine with gas or E85. Danny will have good feedback with whatever your goal is.

IF the OP is really targeting just 650 1300's are OVERKILL, the DW's are fine and will save him $ Hundreds..

BTW getting ID injectors tuned couldn't be simpler, you simply plug in their data. I do my own tuning and thats literally all I had to do to get them dialed in, car started up, idles PERFECT with no further adjustments. Literally a monkey could tune for ID injectors.

1300's are Overkill? Hardly..... he can still use them for his current power levels but it also gives him room to grow. DW's do not.

not at my post...
really either injector is fine... I went with ID 1000s because I ran across some nearly new take-offs for 600 shipped, the guy was going to 1300s....I won't ever need more injector with this vortech tuner kit.
