I'm asking because I have 4.10's sitting under my bed that I was going to use for my 2201, but am gatting rid of it for the 2003. Do you think that 4.10's are going to be too much with the supercharger for the street? Any of you guys with Cobra's and superchargers using 4.10's? Need advice badly

I don't know with the blower and the lower RPM's on the 03, you might be better off with a set of 3.73's. 4.10's work fine with a blown 01. A friend of mine has 4.30's in his blown 01. My .02 cents.

For the 03 4.10's may not be a bad gear w/ the supercharger due to the T-56 numerically low first gear.

I think the 01 has a 3.3 first and 03 T-56 has a 2.97.

The 2001 Cobra's xmission has a 3.37 1st gear ratio. The T56 transmission in the 2003 has a 2.66 1st gear ratio. (It is not the same gearing as in the Y2K Cobra R.) The rear-end ratios are 3.27 and 3.55 for the 2001 and 2003, respectively. So to have the same overall ratio in 1st gear as the '01, one would need to go with something like a 4.10 rear-end ratio. Whether that's too much or not depends on what you plan to do with the car. Personally, I would drive it with the stock gearing in there and see if you like it or not before doing anything further.

Well, the car wont be raced at the track that often if ever. I am just interested in having the optimal gearing to really get this thing off its ass(not that it will have a problem doing that with all that power)But, you get what I'm talking about. :burnout:

Lower gears are going to pull harder. Getting it launched is going to be the deal though.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Unless you can put taller tires on the back, your are going to have to go to 4th gear before reaching the 1/4 mile trap speed.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Assuming 275/40-17s 25.6" Diameter Tires... Shifting out of 3rd just before redline.

3.55s - 4th gear starts at 5000rpm @ 107.57mph
4th gear ends at 6500rpm @ 139.84mph

3.73 - 4th gear starts at 5000rpm @ 102.38mph
4th gear ends at 6500rpm @ 133.09mph

4.10s - 4th gear starts at 5000rpm @ 93.14mph
4th gear ends at 6500rpm @ 121.08mph

4.30s - 4th gear starts at 5000rpm @ 88.81mph
4th gear ends at 6500rpm @ 115.45mph

If you plan to make modifications that would result in trap speeds over 115mph, I would stay away from the 4.30s
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fuel Ecomomy considerations (25.6" tire diameter)

70mph vs 80mph in 6th Gear
3.55s 2050rpm 2343rpm
3.73s 2154rpm 2462rpm
4.10s 2367rpm 2706rpm
4.30s 2483rpm 2838rpm

I wished they could have gotten a little bit higher 6th gear.
