Brady over here doing real car shit and I'm over here happy I put new door strikers
LoL, everything was too nasty looking for me. We'll see about that lower though.....

I have a few other lowers, maybe just get one of those cleaned sand blasting.

Yeah, I would get the new one machined rather than sending it back. I'd rather spend money to fix it versus spending money to send it back.

Think it would be a fairly easy fix?

It looks like it. That small area probably needs to be filled with weld and then have it plained.

Or maybe have the intake gasket matched and with the port matching part of the bad spot will be removed and the gasket will cover the other part.

Seller is sending me a return label on Monday. I don't even want to deal with it. It's very unfortunate, otherwise it's a perfect lower.

Think I'm better off just getting my lower that I removed cleaned up. I'm worried about having my stuff sand blasted. People talk about the beads getting lodged in the upper intake and can cause havoc on the motor.

I had my upper and lower blasted. There was some debris in the thermostat housing area. Powder coater removed it and then cleaned the upper and lower very well. Then he powder coated them.

They look awesome and I haven't had any issues at all.

Good to know. I'll have to chat with the powder coater a little bit and see what he says.

Any thought on having tmoss port the lower?? Are you doing a 100% stock build or is there room for that sort of improvement?

Or is it not even really worth it I guess??

Nah. I have stuck more into this vert than I wanted to. I still want to put some lowering springs on it and such.

I started cleaning the OEM lower intake manifold that I took off. I'll be using that one again. At least I know what I have with it.

This is the color and finish I plan on using on upper/lower, EGR spacer and valve covers.

I actually considered redoing mine as well. My notch has a black finish. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if those silver vein valve covers I bought will work on my notch....

Not sure about clearance with crane 1.7 rockers and E303 cam...

Anyone replace window motors lately?

After having a couple random issues this summer with my passenger side window not working i've decided it's time to pull the door panels this winter and fix some issues. Should have done this when I replaced the inside dew wipes a couple winters ago...

Like everything else, all the ones I read about are junk. LMR? Rock Auto? I'm going to try to find some new old stock, but we'll see.

Its really straight forward, and it keeps your OEM motor in the car. Ive bought replacements, and they were slightly different, if I recall (motor housing was a bit smaller). I much preferred fixing the original, vs a replacement (again, Ive done both FWIW).

Let us know how it goes. Since you're going to black I think it will work. Now, if you were trying to go from black to red, that might be a bit of a task.

If it doesn't work, i just tuck these down behind the cushion and call it a day. Every since I got my 2000 GT, the kids don't ride in the back of the fox anymore...so really this is all for "display"
