Changed my oil for the annual spring time change out. Royal Purple this year and ford Racing filter. I had always used Mobil 1 before but this year I wanted to try "the purple stuff". I bought my Terminator new in 2004, and daily drove her until about 2010 or so. The past few years I have done a paint respray, did all the IRS bushings and rear end work, sourced new OEM wheels (thanks again to the 2 SVT members that sold me 2 each), Re-upholstery of the Seats and replaced some interior trim with new parts etc..... Trying to update it and keep her Fresh and feeling new and Loved. Well today as I was laying under the car waiting for the oil to finish draining out. I looked up at all of my radiator hoses and my radiator itself, and I had a realization of wow she is getting old. The hoses looked aged and had a gray to them. The radiator is looking like aged Metal looks after years go by (I had never changed any of the hoses or the radiator since I had bought it). Well so, I just ordered the Hose Kit From LMR and am going to be researching radiators. All in all it was a moment of sadness and Realization of that she is aging in a way. I have had this car so many years and been through so many things with her. I had always had the "My brand new car" "my baby" kind of feeling with my Terminator, but today I realized just a bit that she has aged and hit her sweet 16th birthday this last year. Maybe this is what Father's feel with daughters (I didn't have daughters). This car is now a legend, and I want my Legend to keep going on and building new and more memories. Hopefully the new hoses will make both her and I feel youthful again when they arrive. The Spring Driving Season is upon us!
