Me and my friend are looking at it and are puzzled when we realize...the new pulley is rubbing against the timing cover. So we remove the upper blower accessory bracket along with the battery and stuff to give us more room, pull the belt off of the pulleys without actually removing it (cause the lower cage is attached) and pull the tensioner. After looking at it...well, I had put the new steel pulley on backwards (didn’t realize there was a right side versus wrong side.) We trial fit the tensioner, spin the pulley and it’s all clear. Button everything up, double check everything and take it for some test runs and voila! The car is back after a lot of time down!! And my rebuilt alternator is putting at 13.9-14.2 volts.....Get to drive it tomorrow!! [QUOTE="94 Cobra R, post: 16187779, member: 5100"] Update on the shredded accessory belt fiasco. Noticed that my new Innovative West Dampener wasn’t lined up with the other pulleys...yup. I hadn’t installed it all the way, about 2-5 mm’s. So off came the cage, tightened the bolt and it was perfect. Put everything back together, fired it up and there’s a horrible noise coming from the new pulley on the tensioner for the same belt....ugh. (It’s been over 5 weeks cause I was on vacay out of the country for 3 of those weeks).
