I will add for those running E85 and a PCV system, you should be changing your oil every year before storage.

Water is a byproduct of running E85 and all that moisture is mixing in your oil.

I was running breathers but couldn’t deal with the mess. I am now running a vented catch can, I get 1/2” of water in a water bottle just from letting the car idle up to temp. Imagine this much water going into your oil every time you drive the car. Yes some of it will get burned off in the engine but it still will add up. Would not be a good idea to store the car this way for months at a time.
I should check my catch cans. Glad you posted this. I need something to do since I can’t drive it.

Parts keep piling up. Excited to see how this 3in aluminum exhaust will turn out! Need the weather to break.

Just took the Billetflow pulley set out and going to replace all the bearings after 14 years of use... One started squeaking when i started it up the other day so figured id knock them all out at once in case another goes shortly.

Going to have to do the ball joints in front too shortly. Slight squeak when you turn the wheel sometimes. Cars been lowered for about 5 year now, surprised it hasn't happened sooner.

Does lowering the car accelerate wear and tear on ball joints?

Thank you, Just a red jlt under a heat shield so you can't see it.
Ah, I thought maybe it was blue.

Well, she did a very nice job! Nice that she shares your interests.

Not a cobra, but it is a cobra drivetrain. Powdercoated the valve covers and oil pan. View attachment 1785223
The powder coating came out awesome. I like the results a lot.

View attachment 1785226Posted this in another thread. I got my LMR 10.5 reps on. I love the OEM rims. Glad these turned out well. I’ll have 18 in reps at some point but not anytime soon.
So many folks say the same thing about the styling of the OEM '03-'04 wheels. I'm one of them. Nice choice going with the LMR 10.5" replicas.

@CobraBob I agree. I appreciate that sir. It’s bitter sweet that we share the same things. It’s good because when I’m working late on the cars, or even working different side jobs to pick up extra money for go fast parts she does the same. It’s not good because she runs them like I do and stuff begins to fail haha.

Busted my goddamn fingernails trying to swap the coolant reservoir hose. It's like it's too short.

**** this I'll try it again later. I'm guessing out the hose on the coolant tank, then put the coolant tank back, then connect the bottom of the hose to that Y block thing

Seems like the hose is too close to the alternator and wants to touch or come very close. I thought the old one rubbed because the motor mount was shot...
