On the ground and driving after several months of the full refurb! At the alignment shop now and then tuning next week!
The FTBR front and rear brakes look great behind the wheels.

Damn, that's assThe ground was bare this morning and I was going to start driving the Cobra next week / weekend. That has now been delayed by a good 3+ weeks at best

Just draining and filling like a madman. Just a small post but I figured it’d be somewhat interesting to see since this procedure probably doesn’t happen every day. Left to right is flush 1-3. It’s kind of frustrating as it is incrementally getting better but I don’t have it in me to keep putting distilled water in it, driving, then parking and repeating the process. I’m thinking after I evaluate the overflow this time around i’ll probably call it and just put coolant in it and call it good. I wish I had the time to do drain and fills until it’s crystal clear but I’m very much over the rigmarole so I’ll take good though.
Tune’s setup for next week but I’m getting a base tune for 47lb injectors this Friday so I’ll get those swapped in and then off she goes to the dyno. Guy’s name is Brent at DTP racing just in case any of you happen to be in the VA beach area. Awesome dude and super knowledgeable and I’m looking forward to seeing that he can do.
I definitely pulled the overflow and spent time cleaning it out. It wasn’t 100% clean but the majority of the sediment cleared out which I believe made a difference. I’m on fill number 4 currently - so I’m thinking of doing maybe one more drain and fill before calling it quits. I’m pulling out about two gallons and change each time and it’s pretty consistent so if I flush about 11-12 gallons I think that should be enough to keep her clean for a long while before moving on to bi-yearly intervals. I’m super big on temperature and coolant system efficiency since I don’t have the ideal upgrades yet to not think about it. But with the coolant mod, bigger intercooler, 170* t-stat and then this flush procedure I think she’ll be able to be comfortable with weekend cruises and the occasional highway pull without getting super hot.how much of the old coolant are you getting out each time? if you can get more out each time you drain - like at least 2 gals - you'll be at about 99% distilled water after only about 5 or 6 times.
i just did both my cars recently and you're right it is a tedious process, but it's worth it imo. takes me about a week since i want as much of the old stuff out of there as possible. i try to do it every couple of yrs. so on the first and the last drain (just before adding the final 2 gals coolant), i open up the side of the block and at the radiator, and that gets almost 3. other than that i just drain it at the t-stat alone and it gets about 2 each time. i installed petcocks both places to make it easier. also it's helpful to pressure rinse out the reservoir real good (or get a new one, they're cheap) since so much of the gunk settles there. best of luck with it -
So, um, when you’re ready to NOT deal with that let me know. Wife’s a solid realtor. More cobra time = happiness. The ground was bare this morning and I was going to start driving the Cobra next week / weekend. That has now been delayed by a good 3+ weeks at best

Can you post the instructions? I think this should be added to my Terminator FAQs.Did the seat belt guide mod, very easy and keeps the guide off the light bar.

I did mine the other way, I kept the factory screw in the inner hole and added the plastic spacer to the outer hole to hold the belt loop forward. But I guess it accomplishes the same thing. I did this years ago. Easy solution. Nice job.Did the seat belt guide mod, very easy and keeps the guide off the light bar.

I’m surprised none has 3D printed one that clears and uses both bolts.Did the seat belt guide mod, very easy and keeps the guide off the light bar.
I would rather keep those off. I took mine off. Looks cleaner without the loops. Someone claimed that section of the seat wears out when the seat belt constantly touches the leather?Did the seat belt guide mod, very easy and keeps the guide off the light bar.

I ****ing hate this state and can't wait to leave
I just reach down and back and it works for me.I would rather keep those off. I took mine off. Looks cleaner without the loops. Someone claimed that section of the seat wears out when the seat belt constantly touches the leather?
But good option for someone who wants the loops.
Thank God for the south. The ground was bare this morning and I was going to start driving the Cobra next week / weekend. That has now been delayed by a good 3+ weeks at best

I'm curious as well. I just installed the MM shaft and didn't really notice a difference. I didn't notice any play in that bearing when I was messing with everything. But then when I'm under the dash my main concern is finishing to get out.Interesting. Report back with your review.
