Went to Cooks Garage Showdown and met up with a friend in his second ‘93 Cobra. Brother came along later in his ‘90 Polo green vette with 52K miles.

So with my stock lower and standard inlet I should be around 19-20psi. Using rough math of course. I thought the 3.5 was the biggest that would fit?

After a slew of high 80’s, low 90’s months, I decided to become a HVAC technician and cure my AC system.

Got over this hurdle today. I still would have preferred being able to bolt the Ford bracket to the hat. But it's in. So this weekend I'll pressurize it and see how many fittings I didn't install correctly. 9aff72cd2be53698ff75bd784eed8506.jpg 356aa001cb30dc0d2a8902c88dbe5b45.jpg

That sounds about right for a Gen 4 on a stock motor. My Gen 3 non-crusher makes 18psi, stock lower, 3.5 upper., cams and long tubes.

I was hoping for 18ish to start with. I do have those mid lengths sitting in the garage.....

    I'd say your about right.
Apparently the gen 4 crusher originally shipped with with 3.625, they changed it to a 3.5 right before i ordered. I guess I can check tomorrow with some putty and see how much space I have between the pulley and hood

Today was the first time in about 11 months that my car has seen boost.

Tested out the dyad clutch for the first time and did a couple 3rd gear pulls, felt great and nearly 22 psi.

Trust me, I was! This was the second clutch in this car I've had to do a "break in". But the very first one I've ever installed. I absolutely hate the break in procedure.

My car is a track only car for road racing.... you know what my break in period consists of?.... shifting the car to the staging lines and then going out to rip. Spec stage 4 4 puck disc was installed like this back in 05' and still going strong with over 9k miles of road racing.

I had a synchro keyway break on my trans so I have it out. I bought a new spec stage 4 w/ billet aluminum pressure plate. Guess how I'm breaking it in.... loading it onto the trailer to go racing.

My buddy says the same thing. But my car is street driven only. And it cost me 1500 dollars, so I did what the manufacturer says.

Finished up the install of the Whipple and actually got it fired up. It started idling pretty well for a base tune too. Bbbutttt....

Something is amiss. Either I have an exhaust leak I can't hear or one of my brand new O2 sensors is bad. And of course I discover this after I got the car off jack stands.

Well... I finally pulled the trigger on a gen2 2.3 in like new condition. Bonus that it came with a new crusher intake and three pulleys. Now, the long wait til spring when I buy the rest of my build and put it all together.
