While having no alternator in the car, I finished up something else I was waiting on: the shifter boot.

I’m a bit of a baseball fan, having played and coached for Over 35 years, so I had redline make me something. Also got a second AeroForce gauge and moved them both to the center vents, along with my new shift knob. Oh, and the voltmeter/Dual USB charger in the old coin slot.

That is a good looking blower! Polished blowers are my favorite, albeit needing regular care to keep them nice and shiny.

Same here. My last 3 blowers have been polished. It's not a daily so keeping up on it will be a little easier.

Update on the shredded accessory belt fiasco.

Noticed that my new Innovative West Dampener wasn’t lined up with the other pulleys...yup. I hadn’t installed it all the way, about 2-5 mm’s. So off came the cage, tightened the bolt and it was perfect. Put everything back together, fired it up and there’s a horrible noise coming from the new pulley on the tensioner for the same belt....ugh. Me and my friend are looking at it and are puzzled when we realize...the new pulley is rubbing against the timing cover. So we remove the upper blower accessory bracket along with the battery and stuff to give us more room, pull the belt off of the pulleys without actually removing it (cause the lower cage is attached) and pull the tensioner. After looking at it...well, I had put the new steel pulley on backwards (didn’t realize there was a right side versus wrong side.) We trial fit the tensioner, spin the pulley and it’s all clear. Button everything up, double check everything and take it for some test runs and voila! The car is back after a lot of time down!! And my rebuilt alternator is putting at 13.9-14.2 volts.....Get to drive it tomorrow!! (It’s been over 5 weeks cause I was on vacay out of the country for 3 of those weeks).

Built or no?

totally stock bottom end. Lidio at Alternative is in total agreement with me in regards to the fact that these cars do not need a built shortblock anywhere under 900 whp. Especially turbo cars. If I had more injector (I'm approaching the limit of my 80 lb'ers) this car would make 900 rwhp with the push of a button in its sleep. As of now I'm content with a safe and driver friendly 750.

Down for another week following foot surgery so haven't been able to turn any wrenches. Doesn't stop me from ordering parts! Got a Turbo-Guard Maxx screen filter, 6an rollover valve, and 6an line/fittings coming in. The 6an stuff is to route my BBRC fuel tank vent to the charcoal filter, hoping it helps at least a little with the corn smell. I put a 1" breather on the canister output port.

Also got my ID1300s back from Eric Derr, I sent them out for flowing and cleaning. He worked his magic and got them flowing better, down to 0.0% delta static and 0.8% dynamic. They have never been ran, just sitting in an engine for the past couple years with a little bit of e85 primed into them. I didn't want them to cause an issue on the dyno later.

Mine shit the bed a few years back at around 52-53k miles don’t know if it was the original or not. Not a bad job at all but **** I had to blow in the tank to get the air out.

yup wasn't bad at all, i lucked out and was able to prime it just by jumping the relay.

but if you look at stick figures on the bosch box it came in, they make it look like you shouldn't try this at home lol

Replaced my leaking factory diff cover with the Ford racing cover. Also installed 9/16” bolts in the front irs bushings and did the anti-venom mod. Then I finally got to putting on the new wheels. I’ve never had black wheels before, usually a chrome guy but I decided to change it up.
