Yeah, Brady, it's that time of year. I'm changing my oil tomorrow, washing my car, giving it a ceramic coating spray detail, and then covering it until 3/1/26. And...I'll be saving over $100 a month as I suspend the coverage.Logged the most miles all year over the weekend. Had to run out the tank of E85. Getting ready for hibernation.....
I still need to do the yearly oil change.
I seen your post on Facebook. I wouldn't look past the 2.9 non crusher. I have had them all and this is pretty dang good. It's tuned on 93 and makes every bit of 650.Yea looking for 2.3 gen2 VMP.

I have 91 non oxygenated fuel and sabil. I change oil once a year, not usually dependent on winter storage. How do you store it? 93? Fresh oil? Full tank?

PISTONS TO DA MOOOOOOOON!!!^^^^^ Whipple 91* RUN FOR COVER!!!!!
Hmmm, so you don't change your oil before hibernation and again when you take it out of hibernation in the Spring, Brady? I thought the prevailing advice was to do that, in part because moisture can accumulate over the hibernation period and changing oil again at the end of it ensures that moisture is eliminated. I know I've asked the question a few times and led me to annually change the oil/filter when my G70 goes into hibernation and then again when it comes out of hibernation in late March/early April. My Genesis dealership recommends that as well.I have 91 non oxygenated fuel and sabil. I change oil once a year, not usually dependent on winter storage.
How is the torque down low/mid-range? I've never owned anything other than a Whipple (two 3.4 crushers) and 2.6 KB. I really like the removable elbow, and the torque these little blowers put out. This car is strictly a weekend cruisier with my little boy. IMO I just feel like (in my mind) the VMP will serve me better in the long run in terms of workability, reliability, and longevity.I seen your post on Facebook. I'm thinking if his shop is climate controlled, the moisture situation may not be as big of a factor. At least that's what I tell myself nowadays since my garage is heated. lolHmmm, so you don't change your oil before hibernation and again when you take it out of hibernation in the Spring, Brady? It makes plenty of low end tq. It's more than enough to smoke a set of 315/35r17 nitto street tires in the first couple of gears. I wanted a 2.3 tvs at first but this is just as good in my opinion plus its more available. Mine is still on the 3.5 upper and stock lower. It's also a weekend car. Its at the " fun stage" right before shit gets expensive and things start to break. How is the torque down low/mid-range? I've never owned anything other than a Whipple (two 3.4 crushers) and 2.6 KB. I gotcha. I don't know why I'm stuck on this vmp. I had someone reach out to me through FB with a gen2 with only 1k miles on the unit plus a good bit of $$ my way. Nothing wrong with it. I'm a Whipple fan boy through and through. Just get what makes you smile when you pop the hood. Similar sized blowers and the same boost level will put out similar power.I gotcha. I don't know why I'm stuck on this vmp. No. That's over kill. Most of my cars have less than a few hundred miles between oil changes at 1 year intervals. Even then I feel like it's a waste to change it. All the oil looks brand new when I drain it.Hmmm, so you don't change your oil before hibernation and again when you take it out of hibernation in the Spring, Brady? Yea I've owned three of them (all crushers) they PITA to work around. The VMP will be easier when I hand down the keys one day.Nothing wrong with it. I'm a Whipple fan boy through and through. I stayed away from the Crusher inlet for that reason. I don't swap injectors a lot or need to get the valve cover off so the removeable inlet is a wash for me. My main reason against the VMP is it doesn't come polished. I have to have my bling bling.Yea I've owned three of them (all crushers) they PITA to work around.
