Building a teksid fully built block for my 03 cobra, still going to use my cobra crank and rods with arp 2000 Bolts. Was going to buy a set of nice pistons that were on the market but it didn't happen. So today I want to order my pistons but still debating on what brand and COMPRESSION RATIO TO RUN WHAT DO YOU GUYS RECOMMEND?
Its a whipple 3.4 going to bump the boost to about 26psi
Fuel system is plenty big for e85 and I dont ever plan on using much of our shitty pump gas we have here In CALIFORNIA.
MY cousin is trying to get me to go with 10.1 but I feel like its crazy. ...he runs 11.1 on his e85 800hp Honda. ..lol..

I can't say what that the magic number is, but I also have a Teksid block in my 04 and I'm running 9 to 1 w/e85. I can't really turn up the boost because I don't have enough injector to support the fuel demands of e85 :(

At least 10 to 1, Dan schoenick not sure how to spell the last name. Has a Ford gt with 10 to 1 and f2 with e85. The gas actually tested 77, and made 1400. At least 10 to 1 if not 11 to 1.

if i could run e85 all the time, i would bump my compression to 11:1. i want to be able to take it on trip without worrying about finding my next station so i went with 9:1.

We went 11:1 in our 2013 GT500, and that's what I would do if I was building a dedicated E85 motor.

11:1, 4.0L whipple, 24 psi = a lot of power!

I'd like to see a back to back dyno with low and high compression. When I researched it a while back, the compression didn't make as much difference as I thought.

So, the high compression Aluminator is 11:1, and my stock engine is 11:1. Would it be that bad to run the high compression 11:1 Aluminator with say E85 and 15lbs of boost, then if I get stuck with 91 octane somewhere, just turn it back down to low boost settings and the 91 tune? In other words, can I get by with the 11:1 Aluminator if I plan on running E85 on anything more than 5-8 lbs?
