What brakes are you running?

So my car needs brakes BAAADDDD, the rear calipers are seized/seeping and all 4 rotors are warped (thanks to a little too aggressive mtn jaunt in the cold lol). I'm sticking with stock calipers/sized rotors but would like to upgrade. It's my DD so I want something that will perform but also last with DD and weekend fun run duty. I was planning on drilled and slotted with good pads but also have heard of them warping easier because there's less material

So tell me what rotors, pads, and if anyone has any advice on re-building the rear calipers/bleeding the brakes that'd be great too

So far, this is what I've found
Rotors "made to Brembo spec"

Hawks pads

And caliper rebuild kit

I have used these on 4 Mustangs, with great success. I always get the drilled and double slotted rotors...with performance pads, and SS Brake lines. The deal is simply incredible, especially considering the rotors and pads are "Centric" pieces, which are one of the best brands per dollar.

As for the rear calipers....personally, I'd just sell yours on ebay for $100 or so, and pick these up:

Good luck!

Just got the ones off ebay in the market section. They were 170 something shipped and work great. Drilled and slotted. I forget the brand

just get solid rotor replacements with a decent pad. fancy rotors are for looks only on a street car and generally dont last as long and eat up pads. if you buy different pads to keep them from getting eaten up then you run into a problem of low friction at cool temps (street use, not 30 degree days). if youre obsessed with holes in your rotor then at least make sure theyre chamfered properly and if you get slotted rotors make sure the slots dont extend to the edge of the rotor.

they wont look at neat or impress your materialistic friends but you will save money and stop great on the street with regular rotors.

This. Another vote for rotorpros. I bought all of my parts from them, slotted/drilled/painted hats and hawk HPS pads for $320 shipped. The blanks they start with are great quality, centric brand I think. Customer service is good too, I had a charging issue with them and they took care of it with no problems.

I have put about 10k miles on them and they are great. They look great too at the price of good blanks.

Thanks for the input guys! I'll definitely shoot them an email, that sounds like exactly what I'm looking for.
