Need a little assistance. I need to figure out what tire size is the best for my setup.
4.10 gears
15'' wheel
470rwhp and 400 trq
Redline is set at 6800
first gear is 2.97
suspension- MM torque arm panhard bar, MM extreme adj. LCA's, mm FLSFC's. using a 250lbin linear spring. also trying a 375/440 lbin progressive. (not sure if its working to well for straightline)

I dont know what size to choose 26'' 27'' or 28''. I am currently on 275/40/17 MT's they're good and all, but i can easily blow them off and then the suspension doesn't work.

Also, what width would you recommend?

I am running a pretty soft spring for my suspension, according to MM. With that soft spring, i get lots of suspension travel. So, I need something that will tuck up inside the wheel wells nicely.

next year i will be considerably increasing the engine power. guestimates of around 625/650 rwhp. I would be willing to sacrifice a bit this year to allow my tire size to work for next year.

have you run the car at the track yet? whats it weigh?

you might be borderline for 26s depending how fast the car is cause you have 4.10s.

I dont have an exact weight, rough estimate has it around 3700-3800 with me in it. If you add in the K.B., t-56 ,and torque arm, panhard bar and flsfc's. I'm leaning towards the 27 for simple fact that next year the motor is getting turned up.

Id stick with the 26s. a 26" tire and 4.10s should be good to almost 130 w/ a 6800rpm limiter. you could use the 27s and itll drop 200rpms or so.

Im a big fan of 28s but unless your willing to change the front height a bit for the most bite, stay with the shorter tires. of course unless your going to up the ppower anytime soon, then go 28s or 3.73s

what would be the best way to change the front height, without using coil overs? Install the stock front springs? Use my adjustable LCA's to lower the rear?
