Were to Install a Aux coolant temp sensor

Were is the best place to install a aux coolant temp sensor for a aftermarket gauge. I believe I read somewhere reading that a good place was on the left side of the engine block. Thanks in advance for your help.

Did you install it in the block drain plug or a different plug and do you have any photos?

Left side. Pretty sure it takes a 3/8” ratchet. See if you can find the how to thread done by Jomo in the how to section. Only on my phone till morning.

Better read than where I had it in the crossover plug prior.

Isn't the crossover the best place as thats leaving the engine going to the radiator to be cooled again.
