Seems as though stock Coyote's at 6XXwhp and above are very similar to 4.6 2V's at 4XX and above. E85 is the way to go on these stock motors, sucks that it's not readily available for everybody!

Good luck!

Wouldnt a base map tune be super safe. Low boost/no boost?

you can't run less boost than what your wastegate spring is rated for.
I believe these kits run 6 to 7psi off the wastegate... so... you can't go lower than that.

Just keep it and rebuild it. You'll never make your money back off it. You spend 4-5k plus some labor (done yourself) and you're back in business. Get a dyno tune also. I never liked the idea of datalog tuned power adder tunes. Its a big reason why some tuners wont even do email power adder tunes.

even if a tune is intended to be safe, whats commanded and whats received arent always the same thing. Thats why its a base/start up tune, to get a good log on it and proceed from there

Yeah elevation and exhaust are factors. Mine made 4.9psi off the gates.

We ended up adding fuel to my base tune.

Ill send you some stock pistons.. free of charge Aint nothing but time to fix

Even if they are stock, that's ****ing awesome  hats off to you good sir!

I say build it. Take this as motivation to build a shortblock. If you do it yourself you can save some $$$ as long as you have the know how.

Man that sucks. Step away from the car for a few days, clear your head.. Building the motor is a chore but the right thing do do ultimately

Definitely keep the car and rebuild it!!! You're frustrated right now and rightfully so, but your car is sweet and you used high dollar components. Just cool off, get a game plan, and rebuild it!
this times 100

I've been in that situation before.
Rebuild it and enjoy the hell out of it man!

Shit happens man... Its a badass car, hope you get her running again soon!

That sucks OP.

I've been down that road with my other car.

If you sell it with all parts you are going to loose A LOT of money.
Seems like you modded the car to keep it, so just put it away and see what fund you have in 5-6 month.

we have some stockers laying around. You know we take out good used ones on the regular. I have no problem giving them away to a good home.

If any one ever needs something like that id much rather have it go to some one in need then see it sit around for years.
