Last week we have the courts decide our land can be taken away with little recourse if a private development is a better thing to do....so the real estate industry is happy.

Today we learn that file sharing websites can be sued....so the RIAA is happy today.

Now we learn that competition is a bad thing, and cable companies don't have to share their lines with ISPs like Earthlink and the like.....so the Cable Cos are happy.

2005 is officially the year that corporations took over our government.

Yeah, like all of you wouldn't rather have a best buy where your house is....just think, at least you wouldnt have to drive as far to go look at new TV's. Heck, if you are lucky they'll build a Sears or REI or something and you can live in the tent section...

So, if I buy a CD (my property), then I somehow have committed a crime if I share it (my f*cking property) with them? Somewhere along the line, someone on these PSP nets actually bought their CD, so how is a crime being committed? Why don't the Bitches in Black just say what they've been paid to think, that it's illegal to deprive a corporation of it's profits. I guess it ought to be the law that if a company markets a product...by God (that doesn't officially exist), you HAVE buy it.

And why would the companies that built the cable lines have to share them with anyone? Let's review a little concept called property.

Try 1895, and the corporations haven't taken over the government...they are the government. It's a common line that the government is trying to take over private buisinesses (if you're on the right), or that corporate America owns the government (for the lefties). THERE'S NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO. When you have the same faces shuffling between the board of Chevron-Texaco and the floor of the congress, then what is the difference? For all you Limbaugh listeners out there, the government isn't trying to kill capitalism, they are trying to drive competeditive buisinesses into bankruptcy so they can be absorbed by the ones who pay the regulators campaigns. That's all socialism ever was, one capitalist trying to use the power of the government to steal from and screw over competing capitalists.

That content of the CD is not your property. You own a license of the content. The license you purchased contains certain qualifications and limitations. One of the limitations is that you cannot create new unlicensed copies and then give away the content; It's not yours.

You're nuts. You live in a time when a REPUBLICAN controlled government has passed laws allow predatory lending practices, self regulation by corporations, allowed corporations to get government jobs without competition, bought the Repub leaders on the government and you manage to blame this on leftists?

You're reality must be pretty interesting, seeing as you have been able to rationalize leftists as corporate owned and bad for business at the same time.

The government is owned by corporations, and run by the Repubs. Do the math, genius.
