Anyone going?

Boston Auto Show

I will definitely be going for sure

As much as I have lost interest in World of Wheels, I am still bummed they moved it to March. Was always nice to get out and see some fast cars mid winter

Haha I don't think you understood what Ian posted. The Boston Auto Show is held inside a convention center. It's not a typical car show where anyone can bring their car.

Plus, Ian wouldn't drive his car this time of year anyways :p

Going with my wife and a few friends. My wife likes it because she's allowed to sit in the cars.
World of Wheels was moved from January to the end of March for a few reasons.

1) People showing from out of state didn't like the chance of bad weather while traveling.

2) Bayside Expo center was closing and the dates for the Seaport is what was available. And everyone thought a car show in early Spring would of had a better turnout but so far that hasn't been true.

3) We tried to move the show to the Convention Center across the street but their pricing was to expensive.

I hope that helps

Unfortunatley you missed the 10 years of the Terminator cruise we had this past summer.

Then at Mustang Mania we had a special VIP section where we all parked when Ians car was "sprayed" with bullets.

Ian, I just heard about this. I might make it down but not 100% sure yet.

Make sure you pay attention to this section...last summer we had three large events for New england guys with 30 + cars attending all of them.

I'll be there Sunday Ian. I go every year with my dad. I think this might be the first year that I can remember that I'm gonna skip world of wheels. It's so overpriced and terrible I can't believe I've gone the past few years

Still trying to figure out what day I can head to this show.....

As a car enthusiasts and professional car show judge, I try my best to support shows like World of Wheels because if we don't it may disappear from this area for good. The show has been losing money for awhile but last year was the first time it made money. Switching to a smaller venue has helped but to move to a larger venue, will cost to much money and then fees for vendors and participants would be substantially higher. Plus we couldn't fill it with cars due to lack of participation anyways.

We try our best to show different cars but show participation has been down, so the pool of vehicles to choose from is less. So it may be easy to blame World of Wheels for admission pricing but who do we blame for lack of participation? Or the quality of the vehicles? Without vendors, show participation and people attending there is no World of Wheels. Please keep this in mind.

Wow, that's good to hear it made money.....that's a very positive sign. I always like to hear about the business side of things because that always dictates general health.

I know personally, being part of a club that participates in WOW, it's a HUGE commitment and the rule about the same car not being allowed in two years in a row hurts you, but that's just my .02 cents.

I agree though, it's good to support local shows and keep the sport alive, i just don't care for the timing in March. I'll try to make it a point to attend this year.

Local Car clubs members like yourself and others are one of our biggest asset. You guys and gals know the trends that are alive or dying in your car community. We try our best, to talk to everyone to get their opinions good or bad about the show. If you see me please don't hesitate to flag me down, I like to know what you're thinking.

The March date is all we have right now but we are always trying to find what works for the majority. Fun Ford Weekend died a slow death in the New England area due to lack of participation and a few people are trying to get it back and I wish them luck. Let's not lose our very own custom car show, let's try to make it better.

Never heard of this rule. If your car is nice, then we want you to show it because people want to see it.

I went to this car show last year....sucks balls lol.

It's intended purpose more so is to show cars to the consumers. So, they probably won't have the C7 Z06, or 2015 Mustang...or anything cool lol.

Maybe I'll still go haha

I'll be going tonight, but only because I have free passes..

You won't see any of the cars above, or the new F150, etc.Too close to the unvieling in Detriot. You have to wait for the NY auto show in April to see them.
