Just picked this up for my birthday. Not too bad of a set up for 375 on Amazon. Tig/stick/plasma combo.

It's my first one and I don't really know a whole lot but the plasma seems to work pretty good. Sliced up some steel with it last night. I wanted to mess with the tig set up on it but I didn't have a regulator for it.

Anyone else into hobby welding or anything like that at home? Plan to just mainly tinker and learn how to tig. Probably cut out some metal signs and stuff, plus I've just always been interested in metal work. Who knows maybe you'll catch me making $10k titanium lambo exhausts one day on YouTube lol

I picked one up last year and messed with it a little bit. My welds with flux core wire looked pretty bad, but now that I have a gas bottle I need to get some different wire and try some more.

Just gave the plasma a shot last night. Worked decent but it does not like dirty metal. Hopefully my regulator gets here today and I can try out the tig set up.

So I won't begin to say I'm an expert and the machine is great but it does seem to fit me. This is the first tig weld I've done. Didn't turn out bad and I smacked it a few good times and didn't break so I'll take it as a win

Just learning to MIG weld myself and picked up a Miller 211. With all the projects I have to work on, it'll pay for itself many times over before too long.

What's the power supply for that one you got on Amazon? 50 amp 240?

I am no pro welder either but have used welders quite a lot.

The fabrication shop I work in guys weld just about everything steel aluminum etc, and some weld 40 hours a week as certified welders.

The ones we have are 480 volt and are just essentially a glue gun, but they still are fascinating.

I have always wanted one for the home garage, but have not yet gotten one as I just take things to work to weld.

Keep at it. It is an art. Especially if you get into making things air/water tight.

Got an older Miller-matic 251 from the wife’s dad. I am by no means a professional, but have welded some in the past. I’m decent enough to reinforce the frame on my 72 C10 I’m building.

Scored this welding table for free. The top is 1.5” thick and would have cost over $2k new!

50amp plasma and 200 amp tig/stick

Comes with everything except a regulator and all your safety gear.

I'm pretty happy with it honestly that was 1/4 inch plate that held pretty good. I did some research on YouTube and I'm looking at trying some different things. Everything I learn which isn't much was from watching one of our 30 year pipe welders. I watched him lay one bead on a flat plate and that's it. Hopefully I can get some practice in and not be half bad
