Weld rt-s on black 12 gt

Hey guys I'm going to be purchasing welds in the next month or so . I can't decide if I want black on black car or polished . And pictures of opinions would be great .

Need4Speed03 has the black ones on his black '12 maybe he will post some pics...but I can tell you it looks very good.

I had polished on mine, but was too much between the grabber and polished wheels. I think on a black car, they may bling a little much, but definitely look a lot better. I had a 18/15 combo.

The key is to seal them as soon as you get them. I used the kit from shine seal and couldn't be happier. Even on my new wheel setup over the anodizing the sealer works.

My fronts used a normal Acorn style lug, while the backs used a 1/2" shank style if i remember correct. Also, buy yourself a set of McGard shank lugs, the Weld's suck. The washers deform under even normal torque. I've had the McGard's for a while now, and countless wheel/tire changes, still perfect.

How do you like Hoosiers up front

I like them, they are Hoosier Pro Street radials. I had a set of Racestars before with the M&H's and I like the Hoosiers better. I think they have a better feel and they balanced up better.

That being said my next set will be the new 28x6 MT Sportsman S/R radials:

How wide are the fronts that you guys are running . Mines just a weekend car what width do you recommend?

are you stock ride height or lowered that looks good
