I got to drive my brother's wife's black 98 GT 5-speed yesterday. So far he has done K&N, Exhaust (Flowmasters, H-pipe, no cats), and 3.73 gears. A friend and I took my mom to Eckerds to get her prescription, We waited in the car. As she got out, she said "don't run off". Of course as soon as she got in Eckerds, I took off. Got on to a Side street, and FINALLY got on it. It caught traction somewhere in second gear and took off like a bat outta hell. I rushed back, parked, (in a different spot since someone took mine) and put on my innocent face. When she came out she never noticed the difference. Most of the Cobra and L drivers would probably consider it pretty slow, but I drive an Escort everyday, To me it was like a top fuel dragster. I definetly want to get a 5.0 now, I just hope I don't kill myself/total the car. Sorry for the long post, just wanted to relate my first REAL Mustang Experience.

Congrats !!!! Thats all I owned was Stangs till I bought the SHO. I just had a few toooo many encounters with the law. Now i'm driving a grand-pa's car with kick. :rolling: ..... Cops don't even notice me. I do miss my Stang at times. Try blowing a FWD car sideways. I guess thats what the Bird is for till I get tired of it and buy a Stang again.
